    No se hunde Venecia

    No se hunde Venecia
    ni agoniza ni muere.
     
    Levita, flota
    sobre el canal de cristal,
    sobre el agua inquieta,
    junto a cada puente tiembla,
    se inunda, resurge, vuela.
     
    No precisa tierra,
    no precisa espera,
    sólo ser Venecia.
    Precisa niebla,
    precisa nieve
    y también que hiele,
    horas de sol
    y un frío seco que produce
    un dulce tembleque.
     
     
     
    Es batalla de muchas palomas
    y gaviotas en cualquier Fondamenta.
    Es batalla de verdete
    y ladrillos con desconches
    contra el tiempo inerte.
    Es oir ruedas de los troleys
    por todos los callejones
    y buscar aborígenes con canes de pedigrí
    para poder huir de morir atrapado allí,
    que si el laberinto enrevesado te atrapa
    la Ciudad te consume desesperada y te mata.
     
    Vivaldi, Brodsky, Byron, Stravinsky
    bebieron su luz de plata,
    vivieron entre el arte y sus algas,
    saborearon el matiz de cada plaza.

    Canaletto y Guardi
    caramelo de suave pincelada.


    Este poema se puede hacer interminable,
    puede recopilar todas las palabras
    puede tener más versos
    que transparencia y pulcritud
    tiene el puente de Calatrava,
    puede no tener final,
    puede ser de ida y vuelta
    como el billete que tengo que comprar
    cuando mi destino me lleva a Venecia.

    No se hunde Venecia
    ni agoniza ni muere.

    Flota, levita, renace.
